If in Doubt Make a Monotype with Emma Gregory – SOLD OUT

Thursday 11th – Friday 12th August 2016

10:00-16:00

Create monoprints using a combination of stencil, offset roller and trace drawn techniques both with and without a press. Learn how to use monoprinting as a ‘research tool’ to develop an idea or image. Look at how specific artists employ monoprinting as a jumping off point for screen printing and photopolymer etching.

Emma Gregory studied fine art at Central School of Art & Design, after which she followed a number of career paths, working for arts organisations including the Hayward Gallery, National Theatre, and Riverside Studios. More recently she re-established the Bluecoat’s (‘non-toxic’) intaglio studio, and added screen printing. She now lives in Bristol where she is teaching and making work.
