9 & 10 August 2018
This combination provides the opportunity to use two contrasting printmaking techniques.
Drypoint is a form of etching without chemicals, working directly onto an aluminium plate and allows the artist to make sharp lines, of various intensity, with immediate gratification!
By also introducing monoprint the artist can then include soft or strong fluidity of marks and a soft line or area of ink. This painterly technique and drypoint are both spontaneous and immediate, giving an experimental feel to the workshop.
There will be opportunity to make several different A5 size prints
