Mary Hill was born in Cardiff in 1967 and went to Bishop Gore School in Swansea and Swansea College. She studied a degree in Youth and Community work and Community Arts at Bradford College and worked at Action Factory Community Arts Project in Blackburn. She worked as a youth worker in Gwynedd and was involved in a variety of mural projects. She also completed an access course in art and design at Coleg Menai in Bangor where she developed her own work and an interest in printing and illustration. She has exhibited at Theatr Gwynedd and Plas Power and Editions Gallery in Liverpool and in various open art exhibitions. She also has work on show at the St Asaph Chiropractic Clinic. She is currently developing her passion for nature, art and the outdoors in lino and woodcut techniques and also running Artepillar, a project teaching art to children in Chester and North Wales.
