The workshop will explore the possibilities of using the reduction linocut process championed by Picasso to create dynamic colourful prints. A piece of lino will be printed multiple times, the image being carved away more between each printing. Participants will be guided through the process of designing, cutting and printing and there will be the opportunity to explore the use of positive and negative printing plates.
Jess Bugler is an artist who has specialised in producing complex reduction linocut prints. She has won several awards for her prints including the Regional Print Centre Award at the National Original Print Exhibition in London.
This exciting workshop is for mixed abilities and all materials will be provided.
