- Thursday 29th & Friday 30th October 2015
A Two day workshop based around the sugar lift aquatint process, a process mastered by Picasso, a positive way of drawing and etching into plates. The workshop will show the students how to make the sugar lift solution, how to draw onto the plates and how to etch these drawings into zinc plates and finally how to print these plates and eventually how these plates can be editioned.
During the workshop, any students experiencing problems with their existing plates are welcome to bring them along and Jason will see how these problems can be resolved.
Jason is currently a lecturer of Printmaking at City and Guilds Art School, London and an elected member of the Royal Society of Painters. His work is inspired by the atmospheric and weather conditions of the landscape and its physicality.
This engaging workshop is for printmakers with some experience and all materials will be provided.
